The Winery

common crane towerBeside the castle walls of the romantic           village Neuleiningen along the "Deutsche       Weinstraße", you will find the
Rudi Rüttger Wine Estate.

Opened 7 days a week, we'd be pleased to   welcome you to our home.
Inside the old common crane tower (left         picture), you'll be able to taste and                 purchase our wines.

The wine cellar is located underneath the       estate. With more than 500 years of age,       you can guess that people harvested and       made wine here a long time ago.

The tower was built in the years of                 1238-1242.

It is owned by the family and used to be a fortified tower that defended the land and the castle of the duke of Leiningen.

The hamlet Neuleiningen, with its 900 citizens, is located on a 300m mountaintop in the Haardtgebirge.

Neuleiningen, also known as the pearl of palatinate, was founded in 1243, when the castle was built.

The castle, the pilgrimage church, and the treasured timbered houses create a historical backdrop and atmosphere that fits in perfectly with that of our winery.
